Join us, one and all, as we follow the young Tamino on his random journey to love and enlightenment, in Mozart’s timeless masterpiece. With Papageno at his side to overcome the dark powers of the Queen of Night, Tamino’s quest for truth, beauty and the girl of his dreams unfolds to the magic of Mozart’s score.

This new production by Opera Queensland floats in time and speaks of make-believe and lives lived outside the ordinary. Scheming divas, an innocent clown, a ringmaster, and a strongman come together to tell this tale of the supernatural all under a 1930s big top.

An enchanting cast will take you on this inspirational adventure, where will and courage are tested at every turn.
Sung in English. Performed with the Opera Queensland Chorus (Ensemble) and The Queensland Orchestra (Ensemble).

The performance of The Magic Flute will take place on Saturday 9 August 2008 at 7.30pm.
