Pilbeam Theatre is pleased to present Taikoz - The Gathering.

With ancient practice at its core, Taikoz is a high-energy ensemble renowned for its physicality and spirit.

The group's unique fusion of Japanese ritual drumming and western percussion music will propel you on a transcendent journey through exotic sound worlds, with the ethereal and translucent sounds of shakuhachi, performed by Grand Master Riley Lee, contrasting dramatically with the exhilarating thunder of the taiko drums.

Each member of the ensemble use their entire bodies in a display of collective precision and athleticism, producing a visual delight, with powerful pounding magical sounds.

The Gathering will feature guest artist Timothy Constable from Synergy Percussion, adding a new dimension to the group and raising its expressiveness and power to explosive new levels.

I also confirm that I have not received any performing arts tickets under the Test Drive the Arts program (Note: Test Drive tickets to events at the Pilbeam Theatre are limited to two per family or household). I am a permanent resident of Queensland. I understand that the personal details I provide may be checked against the records of existing patrons by participating performing arts venues or companies.
