Choreographed by Company Artistic Director Maggi Sietsma, On Thin Ice fuses movement, film, text and atmospheric sound into a compelling, visually rich and physically exciting dance work which looks at notions of cause and effect in terms of human behaviours and their effect on environment.

Complimentary tickets to On Thin Ice are available through Test Drive the Arts for the following performances:

  • Tuesday 15 July 8.00pm
  • Thursday 17 July 6.30pm
  • Saturday 9 August 8pm
  • Saturday 16 August 8pm

Eligibility Criteria

I confirm that I have not purchased tickets to a live performance at the Judith Wright Centre in the last 3 years.

I also confirm that I have not received any performing arts tickets under the Test Drive the Arts program.

I am a permanent resident of Queensland.

I understand that the personal details I provide may be checked against the records of existing patrons by participating performing arts venues or companies.

I acknowledge that personal information may be collected by a performing arts venue or company in order to issue tickets for Test Drive the Arts and that any such information will be subject to the protection of relevant federal and state privacy legislation.

I understand that any tickets issued under the Test Drive the Arts program may be cancelled if I make a false or misleading statement.

Description

The Judith Wright Centre for Contemporary Arts produces and hosts a wide variety of contemporary performances across many genres including dance, music, film, drama, comedy, the spoken word, physical theatre and sometimes, a combination of the above.

Performers are often from Brisbane, but do include artists from elsewhere in Australia and across the globe. The shows can be edgy, challenging, funny, thought-provoking, delightful, sublime but always entertaining.

Located in Brisbane’s hub of live entertainment, the Judith Wright Centre is a ten minute walk from Brunswick Street train station, a thirty second walk from the nearest bus stop on Brunswick Street (New Farm-West End service) and a similar distance from the Valley Car Park (enter via Berwick Street) with a $2 discount off parking when show tickets are validated at Box Office.

Box Office open Monday to Friday, 12pm to 4pm, and one hour prior to each performance.
