Welcome to Test Drive the ArtsIf you haven't been to the arts in a while or ever - weve put together an exciting program just for first timers like you. Its called Test Drive the Arts and its the perfect way to try-before-you-buy. We want you to be our special guest, along with your partner or a friend, at a fabulous performing arts show. You can choose from a kaleidoscope of shows from Queenslands leading performing arts venues and artistic companies. Test Drive will offer something for everyone. From contemporary music to opera, modern dance to classical ballet, drama, comedy and more. Already in the short few months since we launched in late 2007 more than 1,100 Queenslanders have received tickets to Test Drive valued at over $40,000. Whats New for 2008?Test Drive is back bigger than ever this year with thousands more tickets and new venues and companies joining the program to offer you an even more exciting program of the best performing artists. Check out the offerings from our new Test Drive partners including the cutting edge dance company Kooemba Jdarra, the breathtaking spectacle of Circa, popular theatre company Harvest Rain or The Queensland Conservatorium and Musica Vivas outstanding musical programs. Stay tuned for the first Test Drive offerings from some of our leading companies including Opera Queensland and the Queensland Theatre Company. This year we welcome on board the fantastic new Riverway Centre in Townsville and Rockhamptons epicentre of cultural activities, the Pilbeam Theatre. Combined with the touring programs of our new in 08 partner, the Queensland Arts Council, Test Drive can now offer regional audiences an even better choice and a chance to see some big city acts as well as talented local performers.
